G League players are now committing to College Programs.
Tommy has fumbled the bag again.
It is time to pay the Pros who left early to come back to College. Zeke Nnaji and Josh Green owe us some service time.

It sounds like the NCAA fumbled. Lloyd likely didn't have anything to do with the process...and he doesn't need the players that weren't good enough for the NBA, even AFTER working in a developmental league against superior competition.
G-League players are strictly kids that are holding onto their dream of playing in the league, and won't admit that their career "should" be at an international level (or working at Enterprise).

Aren't you a proponent for development?
Yes. Plenty of freshmen, international talent and grad transfers that can fill the void, without the ego of a player that jumped straight to the pros.
I'm biased because I'm a huge fan of college basketball, so take the above with a grain of salt.
I believe this verdict is blurring the line between college and the pros.
It is already happening with football, but there is no rule that is anything close to this.
There has to be some rule here that does not allow a grown man to come to college and get four years of eligibility.
I'm 38, but I never exhausted my eligibility, could a go walk-on at Sacramento State and play for Mike Bibby and them then?

There really isn't much that you can do with Football in terms of coming back in your 30s.
Matt Ganyard of Virginia was 34 years old last year, got a degree in 2009 i believe and was allowed to play. I think there is a 29 year old TE in Miami. Something like that. There are some loop holes. But most of them have to do with injuries, covid, and also military.
There isn't any Football league I am aware of that a HS kid can play in before College or instead of College after HS. This G-League thing is very crazy.
I think the International thing is also crazy. Basically Luka Doncic could have played College Ball if he wanted to in this new era. I think there is soon an inflection point if the Colleges are able to beat the NBA Draft Fixed Pay Scale where kids just won't go to the NBA and will milk NIL...
But this
G-League Back To NCAA thing is very much Nonsense. There are big advantages to being in the G League and then going back to College. Learning how to travel as a Pro is one of them. Playing against seasoned Veterans who aren't in "the 450" is another.
450 as in the NBA roster spots.
If you get to play vs someone like even Gabe York for a full season, you are more prepared to take on College talent.
Perhaps these players "suck". But it doesn't change the fact they got Professional On The Job Training first.
It is a MAJOR violation of Amateurism in my book.

I agree with your biases. I think it is part of what makes the infinity war worthwhile. I would prefer Tommy stops the International stuff because he over-does it. That is just my personal take. Ivan may be better than Tony Delly, but will Tommy Coach appropriately or watch yet another kid go down in flames with 1-7 type 3pt shooting nights? At a certain point you have to notice Tommy thrives on 2pt'ers. He isn't running an offense conducive for 3pt attempts unless they are taken in a step up walk from transition casually.
How does Krivas get up and down the floor when that happens?
This is why I have called for the Salim X Frye Playbook this season.
Learn how to pass from Inside to Out. Coming off Screens. Catch and Shoot.
Tommy doesn't want to coach X's and O's like that though.
Trading 2s to get more volume of possessions is telegraphed. Good 3pt shooting teams can easily beat us with less shooting volume. Athletic teams can just run and gun with us. Smart teams can slow us down and limit our possessions.
How many Box Scores do we need to see where Arizona shoots "53% from the field" and loses the game? That is a Tommy issue.
