Polynesian Bowl Yesterday

In the 2026 Polynesian Bowl, three-star linebacker Dash Fifita was a standout performer for Team Mauka, which won the game 14–3.

Performance Highlights

Practice Dominance: During the week of practices, Fifita was noted for his high motor and anticipation. He consistently blew up run plays and recorded an interception during team portions by jumping a seam route.

Game Impact: Although full individual defensive box scores for all-star games are sometimes limited, Fifita was a key part of a Team Mauka defense that held Team Makai to just 3 total points and 81 total yards.

Physicality: Despite being one of the smaller players on the field at roughly 5'9", he was described by analysts as a "menace for the offense" due to his ability to drop into coverage and break up passes.

Background

Commitment: Fifita is an Arizona signee and the younger brother of current Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita.

High School Accolades: He entered the game as the reigning Trinity League Defensive Player of the Year after leading Santa Margarita Catholic to a California State Open Division championship.

And Oscar Rios did well also.
