Just don't go to USC for basketball. Period.
Nothing good has come from it in the NIL era.
There goes his season. Gilbert would be wise to advise his kid to sit it out, get ready for the draft.
And to remember to cash those checks before they get cancelled.
Lesson learned is - Don't turn your back on Arizona.
Agree on rehabbing and preparing for the Draft. It worked out alright for Shaedon Sharpe and Michael Porter Jr. Sharpe wasn't injured though.
Just happy that the kid is safe. I respect that Gil allowed his kiddo to make his own choice. He could have easily died another fiery Tesla death.
Tough break for Alijah.
I do not believe this affects his draft status.
As long as he is able to make a full recovery, I believe he is still a top 10 prospect.
It might even help him by not playing because college programs would be able to expose any of his weaknesses.
It is going to come out during NBA workouts and combines anyway.
The way Arenas plays, I believe a lot of NBA franchises are going to be looking for a guy that is an elite shot-taker and I would say an elite shot-maker as well.

100% doesn't change his status as long as he can clear all medicals next June and yes the NBA will find out who he is through the draft combine process regardless.
He definitely shouldn't play at all next year. It doesn't benefit him. Boogie Fland came back for March Madness, then tried to go pro. Got exposed, withdrew from the draft and transferred to Florida. That is a pretty weak move overall, but I am sure Florida paid plenty of money to try to run it back.
