Title: Miami Heat
Post by: arxpert on July 08, 2025, 07:41:28 PM
Heat Summer League Roster has Keshad Johnson, Pelle Larsson, and Oumar Ballo.

In fact, it is basically a NCAA Super Team from a March Madness perspective. Vlad Goldin, Kasparas Jakucionis, Kel'el Ware etc...

Not sure how the NBA allows it every year. Heat just come away with A+ young talent. It never translates to real success for the team without having to purchase the dominant All Stars of the League to Superteam, but there is a formula that keeps Spolestra away from the hot seat and that is valuing older, more NBA ready "young" Rookies.

PS - Carter Bryant has only looked MID at best thus far. Spurs are hellbent on forcing him to be 3+D only. Not allowing him inside the arc. Carter has had some foul problems and currently is in a "spat" against Bronny's Lakers with some poor behavior earning a Flagrant 1.

This is not how I would be Coaching Carter Bryant. Since Dylan Harper hasn't cared to suit up yet, I would be giving Carter an unlimited Green Light and let him get to the line because inevitably NBA teams will put him on the FT line where they know he struggles.

Carter experienced a colossal meltdown in the 4th too. Out there on the final play, not even given a chance to make a difference. I think he made the right call not coming back. Tommy would have done the same thing and he would have only gotten about 15-20min a game sitting behind Delly all year.

Like you said, pretty much all he shot was threes. It would be nice if he had more freedom than that.

This is the NBA.  Is anybody surprised that a SF is standing along the perimeter and doing absolutely nothing until the ball ends up in his hands?  Welcome to the league...which requires absolutely zero coaching because the players dictate everything, including the concept that nobody will hustle until the playoffs.

Carter will have to defy his coaches and get himself involved if he wants to do anything more than a robotic 3+D "Jaden McDaniels" style of game.

But Tommy runs a full NBA system and Coaching Profile.

I just can't seem to understand the flip flopping...

Carter should be DPOY bound when the NBA give Wemby his first of probably 10 MVP awards even though Jokic is the best player on Earth by far.

He looks like he is around 230lbs currently to me. Significantly bigger. I can't see how he fails. Basically young Kawhi.

Tommy is just a mook who fumbled the bag.

Arizona basketball under Lloyd is soooo far from the NBA. Guys are diving for balls, benched if they don't play defense and move without the ball. It isn't an "iso" selfish game where stars whine if they don't get calls. Fans show up and cheer.

The NBA is for boring corporate tickets, sold to guys who prefer to drink $15 beers, in lieu of cheering. 3 pointers, no hustle and a season that's so long, people opt to not watch until April.

Polar opposites.

I highly doubt AJ "6 Million Dollar" Dysbanta is going to lay it all out on the line for ~30 games next year though. Especially in Kevin Young's ex Top Phoenix Suns Assistant Coaching NBA system that proved to be very similar to the chuck and no defense you describe. Not even half of a nba season. The payscale per game is about equal to "Grayson Allen's" contract around 16-17mil per season.
