Koa looked pretty good.

He also had 2a, 1blk, 2stls and 0 turnovers and the highest +/- on the team at +20. Excited to watch him at AZ this season. Still think he may have a DWill like season for us.

MBJ aka Chris Brown had the highest +/-, but Koa had the highest Efficiency score. Regardless, he was the best player on the court.

Koa Peat was head & shoulders above his peers. His mid range is smooth, great face up again. Also, strong strong driver! Finishes well through contact. He's going to do great stuff for us this year. Looked a little out of shape, but tugged on his jersey to ask out couple times which shows a lot of maturity. Excited to see this guy do work for us.

This is not it.

Every player on this team is Elite. Koa is not head and shoulders better, but Tommy is making him look that way with the amount of plays he draws up for him as well as the favoritism he is showing early.

Dysbanta is far more polished. Koa will be able to compete vs the likes of Houston's toughness, but I don't expect him to single handedly put up 30pt games vs most teams with any sort of ease. He is clearly a tweener of a SF and PF. Not the longest armed player. Not the most tenacious defender, but he seems willing to take on contact and finish strongly.

The American game is much different than FIBA Rules. I saw about 5 fouls he committed vs France that were not called that will be in College. Especially the dumb ones early in the game 30ft out from the rim bumping guys off passes. I think he needs to do more agility training.

Tommy Lloyd has never coached a player like Koa. I currently have him ranked #2 overall if the 2025 Draft allowed his entry and potentially the #1 pick in the draft next year. The hype is real. It will also build over the season assuming full health. He has weight on his bones. AJ Dysbanta has much more finesse. We will see which superpower wins out when they clash. I don't think either will be "the singularity" for a NBA franchise nor NCAA program, but it is possible that Koa could do it.

Time will tell what Koa does with his gifts contrary to a player like Zion who is of similar height, but couldn't manage his weight. In between a comparison of a Lebron and Zion is a fair assessment at this Age and Body Type. He doesn't have the Above the Rim presence yet.

I would like to see more athleticism from Koa. Starting with more 2 Handed Dunks going up. More Free Throw opportunities. I get that this is the Dream Team and Tommy wants everyone to Eat, but when Koa comes to Tucson, I will be very critical of Tommy if he doesn't run the entire offense through Koa. And I am not that critical of Tommy for the most part as most would agree.

He hasn't seen criticism if he fucks up coaching Koa at the College Level.

The "system" is not going to be above Koa without Tommy being called out as a bad coach in the process. When you have a guy like this coming, you as a Coach must adapt your system to fit the talent. The talent won't stay. You can run the system when you have jobber prospects after this. Not when you have a Golden Goose.
