Some of you wrote me off.
Some of you laughed when I said that shit is getting real...
Now we are in the weeds of this...

Green Bay Basketball has submitted a request to play in TBT The Basketball Tournament Winner Takes All for $1 Million..
You know who once won this Tournament and the Cash?
Buffalo. The same exact Top 6 players that took us out of March Madness came back together and made a run.
First TBT, then TBC (The Basketball Crown) in which teams opted out of the NIT to play for Money in Vegas.
When are we going to see a Grand Prize for March Madness?
Oh Boy....
And you all call me the crazy one! It is always the forward thinkers that get outcasted first.
Amateurism is Dead. Get with the times.
I think you are literally insane.
.... and I am also just trying to get to 50 posts so my font color in the GifBox will change.

Here I am wishing I was Purple.
You're living the dream lol
We're talking about 10 guys sharing a pot and bringing home $100,000 each.
Meanwhile, the other 700 amateurs involved wasted a couple months, in addition to their investors' money.
This is just a desperate cash grab for ESPN to play basketball in the worst part of the sports off-season.
yawn.

I am confused by this take. For one, you don't know the "cut" every player gets. It is transparent on the TBT website, but it is not "100,000 for 10 guys" or whatever. It's actually more like $62,500 per player. Investors in the team get paid from the pot too.
Also, what job are you going to do for about 2 weeks or so in between Summer League and International League schedules when you are sitting around with nothing going on where you can potentially earn 6 Figures as you put it just playing Basketball with players at all levels. Ausar and Amen Thompson played in TBT for Overtime Elite's team before. You are going to boil your take down to this being Greg Oden vs Mike Bibby? That's not TBT. At least it hasn't been for many years. This is your wake up call.
The Basketball Crown or whatever the Vegas Tournament was is another wake up call. It is far more lucrative of an opportunity than TBT, the NIT, CBI, or Big Dance for certain types of teams. Like all of the Bubble Teams that missed the Big Dance. TBC had prizes for more than 1 team. Read up on it.
TBT is Winner Take All. Kyle Fogg probably collected a nice 750k being one of the All Time Greats from TBT and he has had a very lucrative Professional Career too. Overseas Elite is the GOAT team of TBT. It retired, but collected his share of at least 7 Million Dollars.

When the Big Dance has a grand prize of $25 Million one day, you will acknowledge what came before and paved the way for players that were testing the limits of Amateurism, players in their primes who weren't 1 of the "450" as in the only 450 spots in the NBA, and also players who challenged their longevity.
The 450 matters. Bronny James has a spot. Bryce will get a spot too. There are players who would like to step up to a blacktop and challenge players in 1 on 1 for a spot if they could. So I wouldn't act high and mighty about people trying to make a buck for themselves or possibly their families, communities, and SOME even Charities such as Sideline Cancer and Challenge ALS.
Damn.
Kyle Fogg is a badass...and sole exception to this entire tournament. If players average $62k, that's a wonderful bonus for a guy whose day job is a manager at Enterprise but it's north worthwhile for a prospective pro athlete, especially considering that 95% of the participants come back with nothing.

This post actually makes me feel sad. I'll toss it in the "you had a bad day" bin. TBT is way better than that and no one in it is working as managers at Enterprise as their day job. It is a good time and a good event.
