Another international hidden gem for Lloyd.

This is exactly what we need in the frontcourt. Immediate minutes as a backup but the ability to develop a young post player with a defensive mindset.

Love it!

t. lloyds adds a the 6'11, 17-year old Senegalese forward with a 7'4 wingspan.
Only been playing Euroleague and ACB league competition for less than a year so plenty of upside there. Looks like a natural shot blocker too. Extremely raw offensively but he has some tools to work with and should fit well in t. lloyd's "system" if he is willing to stick around imo.

Feels like a mix of Koloko and Ballo, in terms of ability.  Tons of upside and no pressure to throw him ahead of Krivas or Awaka on the depth chart because he's 17 years old and embracing the opportunity.

"Coach [Tommy] Lloyd is one of the top coaches in college, and he has coached many international players before," Gueye told ESPN. "He made me feel comfortable and showed me how I can improve and produce in his system."

The 6-foot-11 forward from Senegal made his EuroLeague and Spanish ACB league debuts for Real Madrid in October, just weeks after turning 17. He will likely be one of the youngest players in college basketball next season.

"To play for Real Madrid was amazing," Gueye said. "They are a great organization and have helped me so much in my basketball development. It is exciting to go to the United States for college, and so many more top players are coming over, making the decision easier. I wanted to continue to get better, and college seemed like a good next step."

Welcome to the family Sidi!
We are all glad to have you.

As much as Lloyd has shown his ability to be willing to go find an underrated prospect overseas?
I really do hope ONE of them is able to pan out and stick at Arizona.
So far, Lloyd is shooting 0% from the field when it comes to that.
Everyone he has produced has not panned out, or transferred out.
