I want to let anyone including thin-skinned Adia hear this via the forum and it will be going directly to her via certified mail as well.

Adia has yet to understand that she is the one with egg on her face.

Did she really think she was going to get a Life Time Contract at Arizona for riding the coat tails of 1 team that came up just short?

Adia ran so much talent out and even caused some retirement.

Adia needs to really understand what the Buzz Williams theory truly means.

As a Head Coach, never stay anywhere longer than 7 seasons. This isn't talking about programs with guys like Izzo, Coach K, Self, etc. Even Calipari split from Kentucky when he was given the keys to the city.

So Why might you ask that 7 seasons is a magic number?

Buzz Williams previously coached Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and Marquette before just landing at Maryland. It is highly possible he could have garnered a raise at Texas A&M after his good season and being in the big money SEC, but the BIG TEN has money too.

He has made each move on his own.

Buzz Williams did a study on college basketball coaches.

He looked at every coach at a program who stays a 7th year at a school.

What happens?

He said what he found in his study is that no matter where the program is when you take it over, if you don't do well, they'll fire you.

If you do do well, they stop thinking about where it was when you took it over (the cheap shot Adia is mentioning now how the resources are low and the quality is trash, but when she came in, it was the WORST job in the Pac12).

After those 7 years, if you do well... the University re-establishes new standards based on how you're doing.

Buzz Quoted: "So it doesn't matter if I took over a school that was last place in my league. If I get it to third place in my league, if I then slip to sixth place in my league, nobody looks at that sixth anymore and says it's better than last, where you were. They just go six ain't as good as where you were last year. Third, and you're slipping, you ain't as good as you were. Now you're on the hot seat."

So he said, OK...

"I was at Marquette for six years. I went to five NCAA Tournaments, three Sweet Sixteens, one Elite Eight in six years.

What are the odds that I or anybody replicates that over the next six? Not good. It's not good. (Hence why some of you should truly STFU about Sean Miller when thinking about the 7 year theory here)

"Virginia Tech's a mess right now, but I can get them to give me a six-year guaranteed contract. I can take it from the bottom to the middle, and they'll just keep giving me contract extensions... So I'm gone. (Why stick around to become to villain like Sean Miller after doing a heck of a job to bring a horrible program up the ladder over time when it is easier to PERFORM and then Cash Out.

After six years, Buzz Williams left Marquette. Went to Virginia Tech, did the exact same thing. Elevated them. And now at Texas A&M after six years, does the exact same thing.

"Don't stay too long where they get tired of you. Get out while it's still good."

"Take over something bad, build it into something good, and before they can even finish patting you on the back to tell you how good of a job you've done, get on to the next thing."

Why? Because those expectations are impossible to live up to for 99.9999999% of the College Basketball Universe.

Adia Barnes has taken this theory and really smeared it. Maybe it is an ego thing, but she had a chance to simply be dignified. SMU is nothing special in my opinion. Arizona has far more going for it. Adia ran everyone out of town. Adia burned her own program down to the ground.

I do not appreciate her at all. I simply wish Aari hit her shot and we get that REAL Banner that only 1 Team gets per year that denotes Immortality. I will not say I am happier knowing Adia didn't get to have that to her name, but she has shown so many true colors that make me see how Karma works for people like her.

I hope SMU is able to make a Final Four very quickly off of Adia's Coaching, Recruiting, and Know-How that she has taken from Arizona if this is how she wants to act. Otherwise she is in danger of almost having to retire from Coaching as a whole if this doesn't work out because she would be the ultimate hypocrite to end up at a true low level Mid Major in the end.

She was never a real one so she will not get a certified Onward and Up, Beardown out of me.

She should stay off of social media. But narcissists can't.

UofA paid her a top ten salary - top ten! Besides what hubby made also. Sad she takes no responsibility for the mass exodus of players who left the last several years, plus many assistant coaches.

Glad she's gone and she'll take her drama to SMU instead.

I just find it ironic that she landed at a mid major school.

Yes, the ACC is a "power conference" but they only took SMU because they were desperate to not collapse when FSU and Clemson inevitably bail.
