How is this calculated? Profitability? Current roster or the program as a whole? I'm lost...

That's impressive if true and wondering how this is measured. I've long been discussing buying stock in college and academy sports if they would just admit what they are, a business... and let people publicly speculate.
I just find it silly that Ohio State is drastically ahead of Kentucky and Kansas. Although tOSU has a large fanbase, the other two schools live and breathe basketball.
Perhaps a form of laundering for them since their Football players cost over $20 Million this year alone.
