It took Duke shooting 11-19 from 3 & an unstoppable Cooper Flagg. Not to mention the NO flagrant call by the refs... This may be the only time I'm not upset after losing in the tourney. This Arizona team left it all on the court.
The team could've given up when they were down 19 points and never gave up. Just sucks that we had to draw Duke. I'm very proud of our Wildcats!
This is the first time our defense gave up easy buckets. Lots of mental mistakes, specifically with defensive assignments and switches at the top of the key.
Regardless, the Cats played hard and wanted to win. As Wild mentioned, the missed Flagrant foul was ABSURD. With two points from free throws and 3 less points before the half (if Caleb didn't take that errant shot with 8 seconds remaining), this game would have been down to the wire.
Lots of promise for next season and 3 of the last 4 Sweet 16's is still a nice accomplishment. On to the offseason...
As disappointed as I am that the year is over, arizona went to war, I thought there was some terrible officiating in this game, that flagrant on Bradley called, but same play on Duke player, but called commo.n foul on them, that's obvious cheating.
I hate playing Duke because it fills like the refs are always for duke.
This arizona team was alot of fun
To watch I will miss this team, I hope after tournament caleb love caught some attention from scouts he was great an played some great basketball probably his best ever, he was amazing and did everything possible to wheel arizona to victory, thank you caleb.
I think many teams with the way Duke was shooting would have lost by 25 points, it's too bad we let them get a 19 point lead, had we stayed under double digits I think we could have won this game, as much as I hate losing to Duke, there a really good team, that could win the championship
So no shame losing to them by 7 points.
We will have to see how Lloyd puts this team together, i think getting koa was huge get at the 4, he will replace Townsend, now who will replace
Caleb love? We will find out could be burries or a transfer, we will see.
