I think most fans were ok with our loss to Houston in the championship game. I know we fell apart at the end but we showed we could compete with the best in the country. I was surprised by how dissatisfied Tommy was in his post game presser. There has been a lot of talk about what would be better- a conference banner or a sweet sixteen. My opinion is that a sweet sixteen is nothing to wish for, it's Final Four or bust. If we had won the conference tournament that would have been such a big accomplishment that I think it would hurt us in the big dance coming up. Getting owned like we did in the end of the Houston game SHOULD be the motivation we need to fuking man up and hold our own on the defensive end. We have the talent and the toughness and the game experience this year to make a goddam run and I think it's going to happen.

Aside from Carter not getting enough playing time throughout the year, I think this season was Tommy's best coaching job and with his style of letting guys play we should see a loose team that's hungry to destroy Akron early. I love the naysayers calling for us to get upset again. The Elite Eight would be a great capper for the year, but a Final Four should be the only acceptable goal for this squad. Bear Down!!!
