I would like to see the Bash Brothers carry us all the way. Henri and Carter hitting 8-10 3's per game combined, standing around the perimeter as shooting threats and clearly the lane out for Bradley and Love to slash to the rim. It seems like only when KJ is out there that there is no hiding what we are trying to do, but I really believe that whenever KJ is out there, we should be in some sort of Press Defense. Never just sitting back and never allowing an opponent to clog the lanes because they know he won't take the outside jumper. KJ might as well get 5 charges per game or 10 FTA per game the way opponents are playing against him. It's on Tommy
I agree, except that Veesaar should only shoot wide open threes from the top of the key. That's his sweet spot and he can't seem to hit the outside shot from any other area.
Keeping him in the paint would allow tips and offensive rebounds that lead to second chance opportunities.
KJ is valuable on defense and yes, he needs to press more often. Even if it's a 3/4 court, his quickness forces mistakes. Lewis shouldn't take a three until next season, with the staff working hard on his mechanics. He gets plenty of bounce on his jumpers but he needs to get a quicker release, adding more arc to the shot. With a deadly 3-pointer and healthy wrist, KJ will be unstoppable.
I guess it sort of went without saying, Henri only has 1 spot and it is the deepest, but he can hover anywhere around the elbow to elbow at 3pt range and snap a net. Carter is a different story. He should be commanding 12 FGA per game. I don't know what is going on. Maybe he has silently committed to staying and doesn't care right now because all of Love's shots will become his next year, but it makes no sense to hold him back if he is capable.
