Arizona Vs Kansas 🏀 Game Preview/Discussion Thread 3/8/25 230PM ESPN

The Arizona Wildcats head to Lawrence, Kansas for a showdown with the Jayhawks on Saturday. The Wildcats are 20-10 on the season as they get set to wrap up the Big 12 regular season. The Jayhawks limp into their season finale, riding a two-game losing streak.

The CATS wrapped up their regular season home schedule on Tuesday night with a 113-100 win over arch-rival Arizona State. The Wildcats completed the season sweep of the Sun Devils this season and earned a double bye in the Big 12 Tournament with the win. The Wildcats are now 20-10 on the season.
"We're going to take (Wednesday) off, get our legs under us and then game plan for Kansas," Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd said after the game. "I'm happy we secured a top-four spot, which basically allows us that double bye where we don't have to play until Thursday.

Henri Veesaar led the Wildcats with 22 points on Tuesday night. Caleb Love added 21 points for the Wildcats as they wrapped up the regular season with a 13-3 record at home. KJ Lewis led the Wildcats attack off the bench with 21 points of his own on 7-of-13 shooting. The Wildcats shot nearly 60 percent from the floor in the win and dominated the interior, outscoring the Sun Devils 52-30 in points in the paint. The Kansas Jayhawks' struggles continued on Tuesday night in a 65-59 defeat against the 3rd-ranked Houston Cougars at Fertitta Center in Houston, Texas. The Jayhawks kept the game tight but couldn't overcome the tough Cougars' defense down the stretch. They have now lost two straight games and are 19-11 on the season overall.
"I actually thought that their defense had a lot to do with it. But we were careless with the ball early, but I think that we did some good things offensively when we didn't turn it over, our execution was pretty good. But, yeah, 20 turnovers and 17 offensive rebounds." head coach Bill Self said after the loss.
