UConn has been able to win many National Championships, sometimes incoherently, while we are stuck in the mud unable to break through Elite 8's. However, we used to make those Elite 8's until the Ghouls and some fans turned on the only other Coach besides Lute Olson who knew how to coach teams in multiple ways per group to work with.

Right now we are stuck with an amateur HC who is stuck in his ways trying to win by hitting 2's and FT's. The antithesis of modern basketball unless you play a slower pace, half court style like the UVA, Nova, Houston, Saint Mary's types "classically".

That doesn't tell me why UConn is
considered a rival on this list.

The "Tacky" column needs to disappear and UConn/Illinois belong on the PTSD line for their one-time postseason drama.

Although we own assu, they should always be on the "burn in hell" category.

"2's and FT's" are still the basis if modern basketball. Even the Warriors with the almighty Steph Curry only score 46 of their 113 point/gm from 3's.

It is exactly why they are a rival. It's called proxy jealousy which is different from Tacky / I Hate You. They also are 5-2 against us All-Time including wins at the Maui and in March Madness to make the Final Four

Footnote to that game... Kemba Walker was 1-7 from 3pt land in the 65-63 victory over Arizona. Very Caleb Love-ish.

Nah, that's more Kriisa-ish. Love never stops at seven attempts  ::)

Between Krissa, Boswell, and Love I cannot wait to be DONE with these types of shooters and finally find an actual floor general to play and push Bradley to the SG slot where he will attack the rim and mid range, not just chuck it.

Agreed. We haven't seen the real thing since Jason Gardner. Perhaps I'll eat my words if Love leads Arizona to a surprise FF run...
