Tony is Menace, but don't act like this Ref is out to get just us. This man has an agenda of his own. He is the Top Ref in this league. Kansas, like Arizona, shot themselves in the foot.
I have now personally upgraded tonight's tussle in Ames, Iowa to a Must-Win.
This is about showing the world that we aren't a lameduck, mentally broken team.
Arizona is +6 last I checked. Major underdogs in this situation.

Interjected himself in the final moments, but Kansas is better coached and was able to play through it and get a chance to still win although they failed to do so.
Arizona is being mauled by Iowa State as they have had their spirits broken and it is very evident.
I think we are a 6 seed losing our way into the Big Dance at this point until prove otherwise.
I think Padilla is the worst D-1 official in history but to his credit, it was the other ref that screwed up the crucial play and called the foul. Padilla caught the out-of-bounds but the other guy called a phantom foul first.
Regardless, Kansas fans threw debris on the court, which tends to be a consistent issue whenever Padilla and his crew are working...
Essentially, Tony Padilla is Scott Foster.

I saw that and Kansas got a "warning". Arizona would have been assessed the Technical Foul for sure.
Our team This particular season has gained a reputation as trash talkers and I believe it has hurt us at times, but also was part of the formula that got the season back on track too.
So I think we should just be the Villains and continue, but Tommy needs to coach around that knowing we are going to get "No-Called" or "Phantom Called" at times based on how much our players tick off the refs and trash talk the opponent throughout a game. Refs tend to "let them play"... Selectively.
