It is of my opinion that Kylan Boswell got worse at basketball. He may be scoring about 1 bucket more per game and they are coming in the form of Free Throws which was something I used to scream for last year (attacking the rim), but all of his shooting percentages are down the drain. Especially from 3. I don't know how he even stays on the court.
This is a classic tale of a kid who got way too overhyped too quickly. Maybe off of 1 game or so. Then he and his game became completely inept.
Whoever cut the check to get him to come home must really be pissed off. There aren't enough of those Pizzas from Papa Del's in the town to make up for it.

He hasn't improved from a physical standpoint but his attitude is great at Illinois. The kid obviously needed a change of scenery and he seems to be embracing his role with Underwood and his hometown program.
Totally agree KCC.

He is better off there or at least, wasn't making the best decisions for himself here, apparently. He shows flashes of greatness with how he moved with the ball and created shots. His shooting inconsistencies coupled with Love's, would allow us to beat anyone and also lose to anyone if they were both on, or both off. Too much volatility with both of them out there 30+ min. I figured his 3pt% would slowly increase as he took on a more basketball focused lifestyle. Kind of a bummer seeing his numbers fall off. Still rooting for him to transform into the player we saw flashes of years 1&2.

No one has truly confirmed what Boswell did or didn't do while in Tucson. I don't think he is better off at Illinois. I don't think he is a Power 4 player period.
