Ayton has never really been invested in the craft. He has all the physical tools, but it is a classic case of a man-child who got paid so much money to be mediocre that he makes everyone mad no matter who it is. He can really have been a major force in the NBA, but the motivation is not there. CP3 couldn't bring it out in him. Booker, Mikail Bridges, Monty Williams... none of them. Sean Miller was his only hope and unfortunately the media decided to destroy the kid and his "give a fuck" on some fake news biased bullshit.

That is why Miller is GOATed. He stood his ground. Book going down for Rawle is one thing. Zo Trier going down for Ostarine is another, but Ayton having to put up with fools coming at him left and right 24/7 for basically a year for being bribed by Adidas, going to a Nike School, and then signing his shoe deal with PUMA... that really just ruined his mental health for good.

I don't even blame Ayton anymore. Sure, Luka would have been legendary on the Suns. Who knows if Booker would have even stayed. Certainly don't think we make that Finals run with CP3 + Crowder. They wouldn't have signed and we would have been stuck with Alex Len at Center. Maybe Captain Hook Robin Lopez. It wouldn't have been enough.

So things work out as they do. The Suns had their chance. They still may have a chance. They are not done dealing.
