Total defense ranking after 1 game: Arizona #117, ASU #4

How bad is AZ's defense?
New Mexico hadn't scored as many points in a road game since Sept. 15th 2018 vs. New Mexico State.
Our DB's forced a LOT of incomplete passes but Dampier deserves a lot of credit for making plays with his legs and extending drives, after our D-Line regularly forced him out of the pocket.
Wysong was making catches that NFL receivers couldn't handle. He bailed UNM out of multiple dead-ends and is a legit weapon.
Otherwise, the UNM RB's ran 23 times for 81 yards...and the other receivers combined for the SAME yardage as Wysong alone. Arizona's defense didn't look bad and played with intensity. I expect a couple scores from NAU but K-State will be the major test for our front seven.
And in terms of stats, UNM is #75 and Wyoming is DEAD LAST at #132. We played the better competition (by a mile)
