Has anyone seen what incoming Arizona AD Desiree Reed-Francois has done to the Men's Basketball program at her current program at Mizzou? Reed-Francois hired a mid-major level coach at an Mizzou, an SEC school, is paying him $4M per year with a $25.5M contract buyout, and Mizzou Men's Basketball this season, the first fully under the new coach and Reed-Francois, has lost 14 straight games, is 0-14 in SEC conference play, and has not won a game in over two months. On top of this, it appears Reed-Francois took Mizzou Athletics from breaking even financially to a $23M annual loss, advertised through possible financial manipulation as a deceptively announced $1 annual profit, and Mizzou named an oversight board to investigate what appear to be major financial problems at Mizzou under Reed-Francois. I fear greatly for the damage Reed-Francois may inflict at Arizona Athletics (which is already in a terrible financial situation) and what Reed-Francois is capable of doing to inflict great harm on Arizona Men's Basketball.
yawn
Are you willing to disclose why you have a personal vendetta towards her?
We're all aware that MU basketball is a disaster this season.
On the other hand, she deflected the racist turmoil within the university, somehow retained Drinkwitz and continued success with every other sports program that was otherwise average in the past. Baseball, softball and women's basketball have all excelled.
Unless she allows Lloyd to jump to another program or disregards a losing culture with Brennan (which won't happen), we have to give her the benefit of the doubt, especially after returning to her Alma mater for a pay decrease.
Stating my concerns that Arizona has made a grave mistake in hiring Reed-Francois as AD, based on her past record and trail of damage to collegiate athletics programs. Your assessment is quite flawed - for instance, Mizzou Women's Basketball is also a train wreck, at 11-16, and Reed-Francois took no action to right that ship, while the University of Missouri did a great deal to support Reed-Francois, only to be repaid by Reed-Francois putting the many sports program in the toilet, and ruining Mizzou Athletics finances at the same time. I have grave concerns that Reed-Francois will inflict great harm and damage to Arizona Athletics, equal if not worse than her trail of destruction at Mizzou and elsewhere to the sports program and the athletic program's finances.
Until this bad SEC streak (which began after Reed-Francois left), the Lady Tigers were on their way to a third straight 18-win season, which is unprecedented, considering their weak history.
Regardless, football is king in college athletics and there were multiple big schools courting Drinkwitz. To retain him in a boring college town of Columbia is quite an accomplishment.

Don't worry, KC is immune to the truth. Terrible hire, but KC loves all things UofA to a fault.
