So happy he's an Arizona Wildcat!
He's having his best season statistically in an already storied college career. Absolutely appreciate the time we get to see him play here.
He got to come to a team that had no leadership in place. A team with no effective system. A team where he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, however he wants without recourse because there is nothing on the court that is better than him to the point to stop him.
If Love wanted a place to showcase, he picked the right school. I just hope everyone is ok with winning and losing depending on if Love has a good or bad game because no one else is stepping up and he is only 1 man.

Strangely enough he's playing within the system established by our coaches (leadership) and bought into by our players, where he's no longer doing whatever he wants.
UNC last year specifically is Caleb doing whatever he wanted.
His shot attempts are down, his percentages are up as are his assist and rebounding numbers - those last two indicate buy in.
Averaging close to 3 points more per game on almost 6 less minutes, which sees increased efficiency and statistical averages. Again, kinda indicative to system buy in.
Glad he became a Cat, but I sometimes I think he takes too many threes when he mid-range game is so hot right now.
Yup. I was hesitant when I heard he was transferring because Love wasn't scared to shoot in UNC'a offense.
He has controlled his shot (unless he's searching for a heat check) and hustles on the boards.
Glad he's embracing the system.

You are confusing Love have a good stretch of games with what this really is.
Now don't get it twisted. I am all for him doing this. It beats watching the rest of the team run the 3pt line weave all day and hope that Ballo can catch a moonball lob without being hacked for 30% FT's, but I am a realist and I know that when the music stops it will be ugly. Just think no one would be surprised and be angry when the rest of the team doesn't help bail Love out of a bad game.
Seems inevitable that Tommy will be using the Portal heavily again next season. I think Love and Keshad as spooked a lot of recruits - Bradley to a lesser extent at the moment. Hoping Bradley can continue to work his way into the 1st unit with team leader Caleb Love. They work much better together than Love and Boswell.
I'm also hoping that Tommy doesn't run Bradley, KJ, and Dylan out of town over playing time like he did Adama-Alpha Bal. They will surely get huge cash offers to leave.
Boswell isn't NBA ready and I don't think will be a 1st round pick if he tries to go so it could prove difficult to retain him on the payroll too with Phillips coming. Maybe that is why KC is pushing for him to leave for the pro's so hard. Maybe scared that Kansas will pay him to jump ship. KJ Lewis could be paid to jump to Houston. That would be rough.
I also have some mild concerns Tommy won't be able to retain Krivas, Henri, Boro, and Paulius as they will be getting plenty of offers, but Tommy does have some International prowess so maybe.
Hard to imagine Tommy letting any of his recruits play big minutes next season - Phillips, Bryant, nor Stephen. Maybe Bryant will get some minutes. He is Elite and fits in with the current roster composition if we are able to retain everyone that isn't graduating/due to move on.
Waiting to hear some excuses. I'm sure I will hear that Stephen needs 7 years before he is ready to supplant Henri.
If Tommy were smart he would make a last ditch effort to get Derik Queen a huge NIL deal to come to Arizona. I don't think he can flip Zoom Diallo anymore. Last I heard that was only a Verbal Commit to UW.

Well deserved POW award, I hope he gets another at least.
Exactly, Deb.
I'm not "pushing" for Boswell to jump to the NBA. He needs another year. I "think" he will go because his draft stock is high. Boswell's fundamentals are stellar. The form of his shot is amazing, his elevation has improved since last season (so the release point of his jumper is higher), he makes amazing assists and he consistently finds ways to strip the ball from opponents.
Add the fact that he has an NBA body...and scouts will easily consider him a first rounder, despite the fact that he'd be a Top-10 prospect as a Junior (pending another injury).
As far as THIS thread is concerned, Love deserves the accolades. He's a talented player that is showcasing his game without being selfish. That's exactly what Arizona needs if they want to make a deep postseason run.

I hope he gets a few more. This guy is carrying the entire team on his back. I really think he didn't expect the team to need him to this extent when he switched up from Michigan to come here, but I'm sure he is as happy as a pig in shit to be The Guy.
In the first three games of they've, Love wasn't a huge contributor on the offensive end, the Cats won by an average of 35 points.
All five starters average double figures. Love is good but he isn't carrying this team. Arizona is balanced and anybody could lead the team in any statistic on any given night.
If we still had future #1 overall pick Adama Alpha Bal on the roster, we would be undefeated. Oh well. Maybe we'll have better luck next year.

If only we had Coach Pert we would be a #1 seed and undefeated.

It's Adama-Alpha* Bal to be precise. In some cultures, he may be the GOAT. I am not going that far though.

I wouldn't say that. I respect that any opponent can beat anyone in 1 game, 1 time.
Danny O'Shea once defeated Kevin O'Shea in a race down Cherry Hill.
The Little Giants defeated the Little Cowboys because.. One Time. Yeah.... One Time!
