The Oklahoma homers are saying Arizona will score 23 or fewer points on their D. I do not think their D is quite that good.

I was thinking about it earlier. I don't think Oklahoma will play poorly necessarily, but I do think Jedd will try to get his team to play like it is the Super Bowl. So while I haven't been super high on the program until the change from JDL to Noah, I think this could be a contested game early on or maybe for the 1st half, but I feel us pulling away overall just being too relentless.
Just a random prediction as a side pot, but something like 17-17 at the Half or 20-14ish, then 42-20 Final Score Jedd.
You may be "super high" on something but it was never Arizona football until the Cats beat Utah (a game where you predicted a 3-score loss). I believe your only prediction for a Wildcat win was a slight victory over Oregon St...but thought they'd destroy us if we played in Corvallis.

I don't think we would have been destroyed by Oregon St if they game was in Corvallis. I know for a fact we would have been obliterated if we played there. That is just science. Too bad for you we will never get to see it and good for me I guess because I want nothing to do with having to drop a game in the arm pit of Oregon when we have something bigger than a trap game in Corvallis going on.
Tonight is a big game for Arizona. It is meaningless for Oklahoma. I think the matchup is pretty low quality for us regardless of ratings or reputation. We simply will not learn about the grit of this team by playing the style of game that is expected to be played.
Oklahoma does have a 5* QB playing tonight I believe. Any team can put together a good game plan for 1 game, 1 opponent with basically 4 weeks of planning. I won't even be surprised if we get the taste slapped out of our mouths.
However, this game, as I said is very big for Arizona and meaningless for Oklahoma. So Jedd has a big task tonight to get it done and get it done in a way that is impressive. We certainly don't need any injuries over an Exhibition game, but I think Jedd's coaching will be on full display tonight. If we can't hang with a barely committed to the cause Oklahoma (by any normal Oklahoma standard) then it really will knock us off our pivot or momentum going into next year.

Science obviously doesn't translate to football because we were big underdogs to Wazzu and beat them by 38.
OU has plenty to play for. They don't want to lose to a non-traditional football program after falling in their final Big-12 season. Their players are pumped on the sideline during pregame.
It should be an exciting game.
