Emmanuel Stephen 7ft 2024 4🌟 has committed to Arizona! Stephen chose Arizona over Miami, Kansas, USC and Michigan. He's currently ranked #95 in the ESPN 100.
Emmanuel is a 7-foot shot-blocking force who's a fantastic rim-protector and lob-catcher. Plays with great energy and a high motor on both ends.

So Lloyd went out and tried to get another version of Koloko huh?
I am not mad at it because he developed into an animal here!
Welcome to the family that is Arizona Emmanuel!
I am sure I speak for everyone here when I say we are glad to have you on board.
I guess it is time to update the 2024 Prospects List huh?
He has a HEAVY accent!
Excuse my ignorance, but is that French?
#BearDown
Great pickup!! He appears to be extremely athletic and should develop nicely. His footwork needs some work in the post but our staff has been great with our post players.
It's hard to believe that next year's team could be even deeper than this roster!
Scheer says he thinks he'll be a 4 year player.
I haven't seen much of the kid but I have to agree. Our frontcourt is deep for the next few years and he's the perfect talent (barely sneaking into the Top-100) that can be a solid contributor for 3 years. I'm sure a season of practice against Veesaar, Krivas and Anderson will make him an impact player in the Big-12.
Great pickup by Lloyd and Company. This dude will be a beast after Rounds works him. Our team next year will be loooaaaded
I think N'Faly Dante is a better player comparison for Emmanuel Stephen than Koloko.

Or even Nerlens Noel, perhaps?

Noel was 15 pounds heavier and a better handle but with development he could get there. I like it.
Really good pickup here.
I imagine ballo will move on after the year, my guess is krivas an stephen will be our 2 centers than.
Would not be surprised if Dylan or henri transfered do to lack of pt.

He may be listed around 240 a year from now. He's a winner of Bill Walton's genetic lottery. It really doesn't seem unrealistic to me that he could put up 8pts/8rbds/2blks/1stl as a freshman in the right role with sufficient playing time. Scary.

Not sure he'll play enough to log big numbers as a Freshman and that's not a bad thing. Players make the biggest developmental strides in practice not games anyway. Again, a great piece to the team for many reasons

Do you think he can surpass UofA legend Emmanuel Akot to become the greatest Emmanuel in program history?
Ha. I think Negedu takes the cake. Hard to beat him OR Akot.
Another 7 footer for Tommy.
So it is clear he wants to become the first ever coach to play 5 "7fters" at a time. I use quotations because they are fake heights.
No idea what Tommy thinks he is doing. I image most of the team will be leaving after this season for better paychecks and he will keep over recruiting and under developing disallowing anyone to get minutes except those who shoot 1-9 from 3.
This is the year Tommy. Prove me wrong. Use 11 players and coach IN-GAME matchups like a real Head Coach.

Regardless of who is already on the roster, it makes sense to me. Carter and Jamari are happy about it, so it could keep them all around longer. It's also a plus to finally get into the Dream City pipeline, and they've got at least one future blue chip we will be a finalist for. Not to mention the kid is just a very solid prospect in his own right. Seems like a win/win all around.

The tone in this thread is wild. Oh no! We got a bad ass 4 star big. How will we manage? The good news, this level of entitlement only comes when the program is elite.
However, I do wonder what the rhetoric would have been if we didn't secure this in-state talent.
Either way, this kid is a great addition to the class and program. Tommy needs to keep getting these type of recruits.
More importantly, Tommy must stay on brand and continue to be unwavering in what he believes wins. His identity. Lute went after guards, Miller went after wings, Tommy is targeting bigs.
I love it and welcome this kid to Arizona! He's coming in incredibly well coached with a team first, do what is needed to win mindset. Dream City kids are not ISO players with incredible mixtapes. They're team oriented BASKETBALL PLAYERS that are taught the X's and O's of hooping. This monster is at his core a defensive minded athletic kid that led the EYBL in shotblocking, is dominant on the boards and is an easy lob target. That's exactly the type of grit and motor any team needs and our program is desperate for.
Depending on rotation and team makeup, he's a walking 8-10 rebounds, 3 blocks and a couple of easy buckets guy. As important, he's a multi year talent that can anchor a squad given the opportunity.
