I don't blame Noah at all for this loss.
I think the play calling was piss poor. I know for a fact JDLoser would have thrown 5 INT tonight, but 1 thing he would have brought to this game was the ability to scramble for a few key 1st downs.
Noah had a few chances to extend some drives with his legs and he opted to try to throw. He missed a few open passes that could have resulted in points. I don't expect him to be Patrick Mahomes out there. but the decision making is a bit underwhelming and I am viewing it as by design. Jedd is not willing to let "Noah be Noah."
Noah didn't lose the game for this team and that's the biggest takeaway tonight.
Jedd and his shit play calling is what doomed us. Not to even entertain the notion we had a real chance to win this game, but it was an 11pt game at the half and could have been closer. It was a 14pt game down the stretch for basically the whole 4th with a chance to bring it to within 7 with plenty of time, many times over. The defense isn't really a pushover as much as the scoreboard indicates.
Jedd just doesn't understand how to coach football. He is simply a pure grifter and penultimately that is not a horrible thing in the transfer portal NIL era of being able to buy players, but I don't see us being able to win a big game with Jedd as the coach. He can't game plan for the life of him.
I am pretty interested in how we play @Colorado. If we are made to look like trash by Shadeur Sanders I would be 10000x more angry at Brother Jedd. He should be circling that game and telling this team "IF NOTHING ELSE, WE ARE NOT LOSING TO THOSE CLOWNS".
To me, that would be our Superbowl this season.
I see no path to victory for the upcoming gauntlet. 3 more ranked games in a row and UCLA after that. Then Colorado and Utah likely with Cam Rising back needing to prove a point. ASU doesn't mean anything anymore. They are bowl ineligible. I don't expect any of their primary players to even suit up for that one.
It won't be shocking if we don't win again tbh. I don't think we will win more than 5 games at most --- being super generous.
4-8 or 3-9 seems most likely at this point. The wins we have this year are meaningless garbage. NAU, UTEP don't count as "real wins". Stanford is a trash team and they took us to the limit. Miss. St is the now Annual "Jedd being outcoached" game sponsored by JDLoser when someone like Noah could have came in and won it.
To me, this season has been a major step backwards for the program. Tonight was supposed to be a trap game and we never had any control of it thanks to Jedd.
Again, the score is not indicative of the story of the game. Jedd is just a pure grifter. All I can hope is he hires some actual FOOTBALL minds who can design a game plan and call a logical game while "in-game".
I have absolutely no faith in this Football team entering the Big 12. Zero. And that is actually more than Negative faith so that's pretty decent.
Agreed that it wasn't Fifita's fault. He played well for his first collegiate start against a national title contender.
The play calling wasn't the downfall of our team. Noah missed throws when he had opportunities to extend drives with his legs and the staff put us in a position to win.
UW may have the best receiving depth of any college football team EVER. Although we lost, Arizona proved that this schedule is still manageable enough to earn a bowl bid.
I still anticipate 6-7 wins, including victories over CU and assu.

So who do you think we beat? Colorado, ASU... then who? That would be 5 wins... needing 1 extreme upset is hard enough to get to a bowl... but 7 wins? I don't see how we can get it done.
I don't think there's a team on the schedule that we can't beat (unless Rising returns at 100% for Utah).
Everything depends on consistent QB play.
Yes, CU and assu are the most vulnerable. Every school in the conference has shown weaknesses and since we finally have a somewhat consistent defense, we shouldn't be involved in more than one blowout.
I don't think the 3-9 finish is possible anymore. If Arizona wins one of the next two home games, a bowl invite is inevitable.
Even with Rising Utah doesn't really strike me as a scary team. I don't think he will ever be the same as he was before, and Utah has a ton of injuries as well that has not helped their situation. Utah just seems to be a shell of their old selves now, kind of like the Seahawks when the final piece of the LOB were dismantled. Yes they are 5-1, but they are similar to USC right now - a paper tiger.
While I don't want to get too far ahead, I don't think winning out is that far fetched. However I think going 4-1 or 3-2 over the next 5 is incredibly realistic. If I'm a betting man, I'd say 4-1 is about a 55/45 chance right now. If we do to OSU what we did to WSU this team might just win out.
I love the optimism. Yes, if the team can even replicate 80% of last night's performance, Arizona will win out.
This team is still young and I think there are inconsistencies that will likely result in 2-3 losses. Regardless, the team showed that they will continue to improve with Fifita under center.
Cam Rising absolutely won't be his old self but he's a major upgrade from their two backups and Utah's defense is still stellar (despite the injuries).
Can't wait to see how the rest of the season pans out!
