Was he already paid for the sponsorships in Morgantown? Good for him if he can double-dip...

I'm not an expert on how it works, but I think most of the money comes at the end, not the beginning. So, idk if he's gotten much of what was lined up for him yet.
I wouldn't think he could keep the money if he's transferring. If so, why in the world would he bounce, leaving that money on the table?
He already made appearances in marketing campaigns on behalf of WVU's sponsors/boosters so it could get messy, depending whether those contracts state that he remains a Mountaineer for the next 10 months...
I was under the impression he already received the vehicle he was to get in the deal.
We probably won't find out unless some jaded WVU fans do the research. Maybe some UofA fans can dig in and sniff around, but I would tend to agree that TV spots are usually paid per spot, a car may have not been paid off in full and title released to his name - but if it were transferred over to Kerr's ownership I'd think the booster/dealer would have a tougher time getting it back. The rest of the money probably was never paid out yet.

I hope things work out for him. Tough spot for West Virginia. Not an exact parallel, but we can relate for sure
Borzello says he is staying

What else can he do? Kerr obviously didn't get a new NIL deal elsewhere so he has to settle.
F everybody else stays, he has an opportunity to win a decent amount t of games but WVU has no chance of winning the Big-12 this season.
Best of luck to him.

He may have used the opportunity as leverage to squeeze a bit more out of the deals he made without really intending on giving up the deals to reopen the process. If that is the case or close to it, then he probably has a decent team of advisors.
