Game 1 Reaction (overreaction more like it)

Newbie here

I am hoping to let my feelings flow and all the emotions out every post game. Watching from the east coast, I can't tell you the amount of times I have gone to bed at 1:30am after losing to Oregon St on the road. And there I lie in bed, wanting to get all the anger and frustration out to someone (hopefully) who cares and shares similar emotions. Certainly my wife could care less about a Thursday night loss in Corvallis.

So here we begin... My Game 1 reaction (probably overreaction) series:

10pm EST tip is always the worst. I'm fighting my eyes closing by 9pm.
But man was I fired up just minutes into the game. Started a little shaky, but shoot, even I had butterflies to work out.
I was blown away by the pure dominance that was shown last night. We didn't allow ENMU a single moment where they felt they could be on the court with this team. We have done so in the past, and typically allowed one opposing player to shine. Contributions from all over the place from the guys. I think defense looked deathening at certain points. With all the scoring ability and playmaking ability they have this year, if we can go on 3-4 minute runs of not allowing teams to get good looks/score, we will be the team to beat.
Usually when these games roll around, we of course dominate by a score perspective, but our defense looks like its a building in progress. Last night, they looked physical (massive pick up of Tobe), defensive rotation was spot on, they kept guys infront of them not getting beat off the dribble (which was our downfall last season), and just looked like everyone wanted to show WE ARE HERE.

I can't remember a season where I wasn't playing devil's advocate on what our Achille's heal for the year will be. This team is beyond deep. If guys can't keep up or perform, there will be someone foaming at the mouth to get out there. I would love to be able to attend these practices and watch these guys go after each other. We need more attitude this year. The BIG 12 will forcibly demand that out of us.

My first ever HOT TAKE SEASON WATCH:
Henri Veesaar will be a mad man (hopefully winning lots of playing minutes) and become bash brothers with Tobe - the team will follow suit and this team will just be a locker room of dudes you don't want to mess with.

Arxpert is famous on here for posting very lengthy, comprehensive writeups, primarily during basketball season. He has been the long time reigning heavyweight champion for years without any real competition. He may now have a formidable opponent. And we could always benefit from having another dedicated forum poster. BTFD.
