We made it to the Sweet 16! Wow! Holy shit! Given how that game looked early that was nothing short of a miracle... but now we are in a situation where for our reward, we now had to get on a flight dead tired... 5 hours of "rest" in what I hope was some sort of private jet made for HUGE people... then after basically taking off around Midnight, it's already what? 8 or 9am in Newark, NJ? So did Tommy give the kids today (Monday) completely off until everyone woke up after being woken up by the flight being over..

Bussed over to a hotel... back to sleep in a literal SHIT HOLE called Newark (trust me or try me and go there)... Get used to losing 3 Hours of sleep on time difference right away.

So rest some more.. then start Recovery for a few hours however physically possible in whatever facilities are available?

I doubt there was any practice. Maybe a light walkthrough and some information on the opponents to read up on over a nice Dinner.

Today (Tuesday) is probably a day to get on the court by Noon or so and stay loose, work on some ideas.

Wednesday try another light run through, but go as serious as you can in the circumstances... get in bed around 9pm maybe if these kids can even sleep at all..

Wake Up Thursday (why did the Committee do that to us again knowing we had the latest Sunday night game?), have a solid lunch, stretch it out, and go to the arena early to beat traffic, sit around a bit, shoot around...

Then the Ball is Tipped.

That's what I imagine the Madness is like for a team that got fucked over placed in the wrong region while Maryland is having Caviar on a short flight from Seattle to San Francisco probably about a 1hr 45min flight chilling out used to the time difference by now and should be good to go vs Florida as best as possible.

The Good News is... MAYBE there isn't enough time to overthink this and JUST ENOUGH time to keep what we've been doing alive and see how it fairs vs Duke this time around with a completely different team and approach.

Oh well. This is just what I imagine these next days after a wild win are like for these Professional Athletes.

Glad I'm not the only one that found it ridiculous for #4 Maryland to be in the West Region while #4 Arizona is in the East Region.

Maryland and Memphis West

Arizona and Oregon East

NCAA Claims that "TRUE SEED ORDER" is part of their criteria which means seeds 1-4 per region get favorable regions/starts.

So I guess I wonder why Oregon got the favorable slot in the 5 seed... interesting how they try to do us like that.

Maryland should be playing in New Jersey this week and We, the ZOO, should be in SF... oh well. That's the politics of the NCAA.

I sometimes wonder what Lute really did to them because this type of shit has been happening for decades.

KansasCityCats

The system is ridiculous. They provide favorable destinations to the top teams of each "seed". Therefore, the lowest #4 (Arizona) gets screwed. We might be better off as the top #5, in order to stay in Cali.

The host cities are also poorly chosen. Wichita is actually significantly closer to Tucson than Seattle. Nothing within Arizona's neighborhood.

These are NCAA issues that can be fixed. The committee is being forced to comply with these stupid guidelines. Ugh.
