Cortney Ramey 6'3 PG grad transfer from Texas has committed to Arizona!

I am not trying to say that their play on the court will be similar, but you notice that Lloyd was able to replace each body he lost from 2021-22?
Kier/Mathurin/Terry/Koloko are on their way out.
Ramey/Borovicanin/Henderson/Veesaar & Anderson are on their way in.

At this point, which one of these bigs is not going to make the rotation?
Lloyd only went three deep last season, unless he wants to have a four-man rotation?
A lot of versatility and questions that I am going to have for this roster in 2022, but for now, I will sit back and enjoy the successful season Arizona just came off of.

I don't see a 10 player rotation happening.

Ramey back up ball handler so at least 15mpg
Ballo rotational as needed same role as last year

I believe there are a lot of differences in what you believe the starters to be, and I believe the starters to be.
Right now, I believe that these four are LOCKS for starters:

Kriisa
Larsson
Tubelis
Ballo

The question how is Lloyd going to use that other G/F spot?
Is he going to go with a ball-handler with Ramey?
Is he going Swiss-army knife with Henderson?
Is he going unproven commodity with Bal?
I do not believe Borovicanin/Veesaar are going to start as true freshmen, because they have too many bodies in front of them AND they need to add muscle to their frames.
They are going to play, but not start, but the 2023 season is when I expect Bal/Borovicanin/Veesaar to all start for Arizona.

The way I coach, I put our 5 best players on the court to start games then I mix and match with the matchups. I can't speak for Tommy Lloyd purposely trying to hold back talent like he did Adama Bal last year and how he might do it with this Veesaar fellow, but that kid has a lot of talent that should not be sitting on the bench like Bal did all last year. I also don't presume that Lloyd is like Sean Miller and will automatically only play the veterans of the system first. If someone shows they are good, they should make their way into the lineup.

Otherwise I don't want to hear the other people around here that are Miller haters talk up Tommy as if he isn't set in his ways too already in year 2. I personally would start Bal at PG and Kerr SG, but I have to hold out hope that Kerr is going to do something besides jack up 3s this year. PG/SG is just G for our team. Last year I said the same exact thing all season with Dalen Terry needing to play PG so Kerr can play off ball in transition. Once Lloyd started doing it after that atrocious UCLA game, we became even more dynamic and dangerous. I'll be hoping for the same thing this season with Bal instead of Dalen.

I sincerely doubt I am even high enough on Adama Bal. He's the real deal. I don't think Tommy can keep him a secret much longer.

The best players should play. Ballo is a relief big. He isn't someone that I would have out there to pretend to be 6'9 Shaq and waste time feeding the post. He is very effective in bursts. If he improved dramatically then we will find out, but I have Dylan Anderson above him already.

I also don't have Ramey doing too much. Maybe a max of what Kier did last year. If he were a surgical floor general he would have averaged way more assists the last few years. He's going to be a good burst off the bench. I don't know much about Henderson. He might get some deep minutes like Kim Aiken did before he was erased from existence, but he would have to be something extra special to stay on the court.

I don't think those transfers aren't meant to come in and take over the team.

He'll make strides and earn some minutes but I can't envision him as a key contributor until conference play begins (or realistically during his junior season)

I do not subscribe to the notion of putting your best 5 on the floor.
Sometimes, you need to have one of them come off the bench to give you some punch/change of pace.
It is clear that we have a difference in opinions on the potential and roles of the players on this team.
I guess that is the best/worst part of the off-season is trying to figure out how the new pieces will (or will not) gel with the old pieces. 

What I will say is that Lloyd is trying to fill VERY big holes left by BM/DT/CK.
CR/CH2 are being added to help fill those holes as much as possible.
They are not coming to Arizona to sit on the bench for their final season.
They are going to be projected to play unless the players on the roster are simply better than them and steal whatever minutes were projected to go to them.

This!  Bal looked like he was barely keeping up with the speed of the game every time he was in. Then he would make a 25ft three and make you feel like he could be something someday. Looked more like luck than anything, I would not count on Bal providing meaningful and/or impactful minutes.

Bal was a freshman, as well as a foriegn student learning, and definitely needed some time with Chris Rounds.

This year. He has had some time with the team, coach, and Chris Rounds. He should be ready to play.

I'll make a quick amendment - I think Pelle Larsson is one of our best 5 players, but he has to be a 6th man to be effective how I perceive him to be valuable. This is a similar mindset I hold with Ballo. When you give players like them too much, they start to look way more mortal than when they could look awesome behind guys like Koloko or Mathurin.

where do some of these lineups even come from. There is no chance Anderson starts. Zero. And Bal at point? what on earth. Tommy plays the people when they are ready. We had a lot of guards last year. Bal got playing time when injuries happen. He will get more playing time this year.

Kerr and Ramey will play point. Kerr was a good PG last year, yes he shot too many 3's but he still helped lead us to a 33-4 record. and he had a triple double. That was his first full year playing college ball. His shooting percentages were improving towards the end of the year last year. he will be even better this year. and Ramey looks better than Kier so the PG should be an improvement.

Bal, Larsson and Henderson will get the bulk of the time on the wings. Maybe Boro will be good but he will probably ride pine for a bit.

then we have the bigs. Zu and Ballo are starting. it's just who backs them up.

I am excited about ramey being a wildcat.

We lost so much with ben,Christian,dalen leaving.
I do wish Lloyd could have brought in one more like efe I think he could have helped us defensively alot too bad though  he wanted the g league.

I fill better after Arizona  added  ramey an  Henderson to the team  about this season.  With ramey while there thought he was going elsewhere   luckly he fell into our laps.

I expect  ramey an kerr to start  with pelle.
