Princeton shocks Arizona and pulls off upset win 59-55

In a season during which Arizona showed far too often a penchant for playing down to its competition, when it came time to put that aside for a deep postseason run the problem came back once again.

The Wildcats went scoreless for the final 4:42 in losing 59-55 to 15th-seeded Princeton on Friday afternoon in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The loss ends the UA’s season at 28-7 and makes it the first program in NCAA history with multiple first-round defeats as a No. 2 seed.

Arizona led 55-50 with 4:43 left on a basket by Azuolas Tubelis, who had 22 points, but that was the final time it would score. The Wildcats missed...

Arizona closed 15.5 favorites over Princeton. It's the worst upset this NCAA Tournament.

So bad.....  We need a gritty, tough PG on this team !!  Give me a Mark Lyons, TF McConnell type of player

You mean Sean Miller PGs? I thought we've been through this before, but from what I understand here, you now want Arizona to be a Mid Major program. It makes sense to me. Tommy has accomplished the conversion of Arizona to Gonzaga-South, a soft Mid Major winning tons of games in a very similar conference to Gonzaga's level of competition. The hatred of Sean Miller led some people to say some really crazy things about him, but look who is dancing to the second weekend in Year 1 with barely a 4 star player to his name and look who is sitting in the CBOX upset about Tommy getting dominated on the big stage again. I accept that we have changed to a successful Mid Major level team under Tommy thus far (as we enter Year 3 on the descent). Have you all?
