28.5 was the signal spread. We all had close predictions (when you check the t-shirt thread). I called 96-69 before the odds were even posted in Vegas.

No one else's prediction included any sentiment as to what the reality is. And I don't mean an explanation. The score predictions alone signal to me you all think this team is in pure cruise control when there are still issues with this 6th man and bench situation.

87-72 Cats of T Town - though I will make a comment that inner city Baltimore kids are generally gritty. This should be a 30 point blowout at least IMHO, but the way we have been playing defense lately I am going to predict that blowout will be cut in half

Pretty much as I said. A couple shots missed by Morgan State, a couple extra buckets by the Cats, but the sentiment is as if it's like I know what I'm talking about. We were lucky to escape tonight down the stretch. Hopefully Tommy can get this team to understand the fight to come is not going to be casual.

"Lucky to escape down the stretch" - we blew the game open in the second half.  Did you even watch ??

Very lucky to escape.

KansasCityCats

We played a team that shot 36% from 3 (prior to our matchup) and averages 16 assists per game.

Morgan state made an unusual amount of contested buckets, put up 20 assists...and we still beat their asses by 25.

That's the definition of cruise control. In no way were we "lucky". This is a system that allowed our coach to compete for an ncaa record for best start in coaching history. Our team is stacked and we're a favorite to win the national title, one year removed from inheriting a "bubble team", ncaa sanctions and a coach that has never led a program.

Pretty damn impressive.

Yes, Morgan State didn't have anyone who could handle 2 bigs. So what? Doesn't mean the game was played well by Arizona at all. Morgan State is a gritty inner city Baltimore school and those kids showed out vs the best team. Montana St played their best game too. It stands to reason that we are always going to get everyone's best shot, but the fact of the matter is I saw no improvements from us so Morgan St inherently deserves more praise than we do for barely running off with a lead down the stretch.

I am curious to see how we start off in conference play. Doesn't look clear to me that we are going to win the Conference at the moment. Also funny how you and others were so nervous preseason thinking we were a 22 win team, but my how the sentiment has changed quickly when it was so obvious that this team only got deeper and more talented. "How can this team be more talented than last season" - Simple, Tubelis was suppressed by Mathurin and Lloyd. He was always the best player on the team ever since Miller brought him in.

PS - Miller took all the real sanctions on the chin. Be real with yourself. He also has a terrible core to work with at Xavier and they are rising at #22 right now

1 quick amendment - when I say Deeper, I mean there are more lineups that can be deployed, but the bench is one of the worst in the Nation for a top tier team the way Lloyd is playing it.
