The Arizona Wildcats (20-13) mounted an improbable ninth-inning comeback and earned their 10th straight win in walk-off fashion over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (26-11) on Saturday night at Hi Corbett Field.

Arizona entered the bottom of the ninth inning trailing 5-0 before batting around the order and scoring six runs to seal the series victory. After what initially looked to be a game-winning double from Mason White that was then ruled a game-tying ground-rule, Garen Caulfield laced a walk-off single through the left side of the infield to polish off the wild rally.

Caulfield also led off the ninth, drawing a walk to kickstart the Wildcats rally. After another walk and a single to right field that loaded the bases, Emilio Corona pushed across the Cats first run on an RBI single to left field, his third hit of the night. Breyfogle followed with a single of his own that plated Brendan Summerhill. Following an infield fly, designated hitter Maddox Mihalakis needed just one pitch to drive in two runs on a hard-hit single to left. A fly out left Arizona to their final out with runners on the corners and brought White to the plate; the Wildcats shortstop blasted a ball to left center that bounced off the warning track and bounced over the red line on the outfield wall for the game-tying ground-rule double that set up Caulfield's heroics.

Starting pitcher Clark Candiotti worked 3.2 innings for the Wildcats, surrendering three runs while striking out three; he did not factor into the decision.

Arizona's bullpen was crucial to the Wildcats victory, holding Louisiana Tech to just two runs (both unearned) over the final 5.1 innings. Bradon Zastrow, Kyler Heyne, Casey Hintz, and Jaeden Swanberg (1-1) combined to strike out five while issuing just one walk in relief. Swanberg earned his first win of the year after pitching the top of the ninth.
