Quote from: KansasCityCats on February 23, 2024, 04:40:32 PMBoswell isn't playing like a first rounder but we have no other options as a true PG. Bradley's numbers are never better when he gets increased minutes and the Cats are still projected to be a top seed so I don't understand why there's so much pessimism towards a team that is elite for the first time in 9 years.

Bradley is unable to establish a role due to Boswell. Any minutes he gets are not predicated around him being a "Floor General" due to never starting games. He has to come in and mop up the Boswell mistakes which equates to watching Love chuck 3pt shots often. It is true cause and effect. We have yet to see Bradley get his fair shake of starting the first 7 or 8 minutes of a game and seeing how the team plays then Boswell comes in relief, plays his brand of basketball with a different unit more suited to his slower, unsure pace.

Boswell is not a true PG. He is barely even a SG. He doesn't even resemble a basketball player at times. Maybe he would be a decent football player. He can hit a soft 3pt spot shot. He can't do much else out there. It is not possible for him to improve the way he goes about playing the game. He doesn't use any of his natural ability to aid his game.

His size, strength, and body frame doesn't lead to anything special for him, however I bet if Conrad were driving into the lane and dished it out to Boswell, he would hit 3-4 from 3 wide open.

The only true PG is Little Conrad and I personally have no problem with playing a short PG if we have to. Plenty of other schools do it. Especially in March Madness vs Smaller Schools/Cinderellas.

Those big scary Guards who shoot 3's against us shoot over top of Boswell, Pelle, KJ, Love, and Bradley anyway. However the ship has sailed. Tommy lost the locker room and refuses to even play the correct rotations with the 6.5 players he "trusts".

He's just out there like us watching Caleb chuck it up. Caleb is not a PG. He can't be expected to find Ballo on every leak for an Alley Oop. The showboating needs to stop. Toxic. No one cares about Love's patented hammer dunk. We need the points. The crowd was dead last night anyway primarily because those who take up all the good seats are usually in bed at that time and haven't had energy for that type of game since Matlock was Primetime TV.

Tommy's unwillingness to play Boro/Paulius with Keshad is the reason teams have no issue jacking up 3's with those big scary 6'6" SG/SF's. No one Tommy plays can run those players off the 3pt line and into Ballo where we can jump all the passing lanes.

At some point you have to admit that our Run and Gun is not keeping pace during contested games. Tommy has to be willing to go into different strategies and expand the bench, letting other players get into the game.

Bradley is out there with Boswell as often as Love. There's a premeditated rotation where he isn't strictly on the team to spell Boswell.

Kylan didn't have a lot of minutes in his first season. Bradley will earn his immediately, if he shoots better now...or will get significant time next year regardless.

After today's meltdown I think it could be the end of your buddy Boswell. That is unacceptable.

Perhaps you're right because I don't have many inside contacts but based on the personalities of Boswell and Lloyd, I assume that they'll have a conversation that explains how both were intense and want to win. We'll see on Wednesday.

I think that the conversation has already been had. That's what I think people are overlooking or under-looking however you want to think about it.

Boswell has mentally checked out. It happened a long time ago. Tommy has put up with it. He can't stop whatever Boswell is doing off the court nor whatever plans he has. Boswell is likely only playing the game at this point because he has a contractual obligation to a booster who backed some sort of NIL and doesn't want to be sued for the money back.

I'll be surprised if Boswell doesn't transfer after this season ......
