It looks like 5 of our guys will play in FIBA tournaments this summer. I will post their numbers at the end of each tournament here.

U19 World Cup

Kylan Boswell (USA – finished 4th)

6.4 pts, 0.9 rbs, 2.3 assists, 2.4 to, 1.6 st, 0.1 bs, 18.9 min

Filip Borovicanin (Serbia – finished 6th)

14.1 pts, 7.3 rbs, 2.7 assists, 3 to, 1.3 st, 0.1 bs, 24.3 min

FiliB finished 10th in rebounds in the tournament. The 9 guys with more rebounds were centers or forwards.

U20 European Championship

Henri Veesaar (Estonia)

Motiejus Krivas (Lithuania)

U18 European Championship

Conrad Martinez (Spain)

WerderBremen

U20 European Championship

Henri Veesaar (Estonia – finished 16th)

7.5 pts, 7 rbs, 2.5 asts, 2.5 to, 0.5 st, 2 bs, 19.9 min

Numbers are not really telling. Henri got hurt in the second quarter of the second game. He did have a promising start to the tournament. Too bad his tournament was cut short.

Motiejus Krivas (Lithuania – finished 8th)

12.9 pts, 9.7 rbs, 2 asts, 1.9 to, 1 st, 2.4 bs, 23.8 min

https://www.fiba.basketball/europe/u20/2023/player/Motiejus-Krivas

This is how he ranks in the tournament

3rd in rebounds
1st in rebounds per 40 minutes
2nd in blocks
5th in efficiency
2nd in steals among centers

WerderBremen

U18 European Championship

Conrad Martinez (Spain – finished 2nd)

6.7 pts, 0.9 rbs, 3.3 asts, 1.9 to, 0.4 st, 0 bs, 23 min

Unfortunately his shooting percentages were quiet ugly. 42, 16, 71%. Especially the three pt percentage is disappointing. Conrad was 3 for 19 for the tournament. He made the first two and missed the last 14. He played much better in the friendlies going into the tournament and his numbers for his club team were also a lot better. So maybe / hopefully he just picked a slump at the wrong time.

If I were to rank the performance of our five players at the three FIBA tournaments it would look like this.

Krivas
FiliB
Bam
Conrad

Henri – not ranked due to lack of playing time
