He just can't get it done on the big stage

FYI, the KU alumni were extremely close to getting their wish of firing Bill Self because he never made a Final Four, leading up to the 2007-08 season.

Were you asking for Lute to be fired when he didn't make a Final Four during his final SIX seasons?  That stretch included two first round exits, one second round loss and one sweet 16 loss. Miller never won on the big stage.

We could be UCLA and fire every guy that doesn't win our second national title...or wait a couple more years to enjoy a ridiculous amount of regular season wins, including conference and conference tourney titles. Two sweet 16's, 89 total victories and a win at Cameron is a decent start for a first time head coach.

Don't forget that the calls for Lute's head were getting pretty loud after the 4th place finish (and before the tournament) in 96-97.

Tommy is a good coach. He schedueles hard games, he coaches a fun style and he wins.  He just needs to learn not to rely on the 3 so much.

Absolutely. I wish the entire sport weren't reliant upon the outside shot. Every player thinks that they're a perimeter player, regardless of height/position.

Hopefully Arizona can take advantage of the ridiculous size that our roster possesses next season.
