Word is that an Arizona basketball player may leave due to personal reasons

Is there a chance a scholarship player switches to walk-on, instead of transferring? Any NCAA rules preventing that?

I hope it's not Armstrong but there was speculation he was going to try to get out of his loi for awhile.

Armstrong has already said he is committed   a player moving to walk on status would be interesting  I dought it though  maybe Smith or Jeter could if they can pay there own way for one year an they graduated already.

The only player we heard rumblings about wanting out was Armstrong and according to Wild this player has been contemplating leaving the team for personal reasons for over a month now. He's the only one I've heard anything about but maybe someone else has been thinking about it we just haven't heard anything.
